1. Respect the Show's Content and Rights
MediaByMarcus and/or the applicable rights holders retain their rights in show recordings, production elements, graphics, photographs, music and branding. Appearing as a guest does not itself grant ownership of the finished show or permission to copy, edit, distribute or monetize it. Guests retain rights in their pre-existing books, trademarks and other materials, subject to any separate written license or guest release.
2. What You May Do
Share links to episodes on the show's official channels. Use a platform's built-in share or embed function where enabled, without altering the content or branding. Repost promotional clips or artwork supplied to you by MediaByMarcus only as authorized, in their approved form, with the original logos and credits intact. Credit The Marcus Lee Stephenson Show and MediaByMarcus; include MediaByMarcus.com and tag @iammarcusleestephenson where the platform supports tagging. Respect publication dates, embargoes and any limits stated in the written approval.
3. Do Not Remove or Change Show Branding
Do not remove, crop out, blur, cover, replace or alter show logos, watermarks, host identification, copyright notices, sponsor acknowledgments or production credits. Do not place your own branding over the show's identifying marks or present the production as your own. Any branding exception requires an official written agreement with MediaByMarcus, Marcus Lee Stephenson as host, or an authorized representative.
4. No Editing Without Official Written Approval
Do not cut, trim, remix, reframe, dub, translate, change speed, replace audio, add overlays or music, create compilations, or otherwise alter show content without prior written approval. Do not change captions or use artificial intelligence to modify a participant's face, voice or words without written authorization. Never edit or caption content to misrepresent the conversation, imply an endorsement, or create a misleading impression. If a different aspect ratio, subtitle version or shorter clip is needed, request an approved version from the team.
5. Downloads, Reuploads and Commercial Use
Except for uses authorized in writing or otherwise permitted by applicable law, do not download or screen-record show content for redistribution; upload full episodes or unapproved clips to your own channels; sell, license or monetize the footage; use it in paid ads, sponsored promotions or product endorsements; submit it as your own copyrighted work; or register it in automated rights-management systems that could claim or block the show's official uploads. A guest appearance does not authorize these uses.
6. Guest Responsibilities
Before recording, provide accurate names, titles, bios and promotional information. Only submit or perform third-party music, photos, videos, readings or other protected material when you have the necessary permission for the intended recording and distribution. Disclose restrictions in advance. Respect privacy and avoid sharing confidential information or personal details about others without appropriate consent. Obtain team approval before independently recording or livestreaming a session. Follow studio instructions and agreed release schedules.
7. Recording, Editorial Decisions and Guest Releases
Recording consent, use of a guest's name, image and voice, distribution rights, compensation and any review rights must be addressed in the applicable guest release or written agreement. MediaByMarcus manages production and editorial decisions subject to those agreements. Guest participation does not automatically include raw footage, advance review, approval of the final edit, payment or a guaranteed publication date. Requests for corrections should identify the episode, timestamp and concern and be sent to the team.
8. How to Request Permission
Send your name and organization, episode title or link, exact timestamps, intended platforms, proposed edits, purpose, paid or unpaid use, desired publication date and length of use. Permission must come in writing from Marcus Lee Stephenson or an authorized MediaByMarcus representative and identify the approved material and use. Silence, a verbal conversation, crediting the show or having appeared as a guest is not written permission. Approval is limited to its stated scope; additional uses need additional approval.
9. Unauthorized Use and Reports
Report suspected misuse through the contact page or permission email, including links and screenshots where available. MediaByMarcus may request correction or removal, withdraw promotional permissions where the applicable agreement permits, report infringement to platforms, or pursue remedies available under applicable law. These rules do not impose automatic fines or establish that every disputed use is unlawful.
10. Applicable Agreements and Legal Exceptions
This page states MediaByMarcus's media usage policy. It does not replace a signed guest release, transfer a guest's copyright, or establish consent merely because someone views this page. A separate written agreement controls if its terms conflict with this policy. Nothing here limits uses permitted by applicable law, including fair use.
